Brian Cameron and The Southern Roots House Band

Doors Open at 6pm, Show starts at 8pm, 21+ Non-smoking

Brian Cameron's  Band.... 20 years ago, some local teenagers in McDonough, Georgia had a band called “Hourglass” and they made an album. This year, those local boys are doing a local show to celebrate. Come to Southern Roots on October 5 and hear that album performed in its entirety! This is going to be the biggest night of local nostalgia the Square has ever seen!!!in 1995, there was a little coffee house on the square called “Seattle Style Expresso.” That was Genesis. The very first Hourglass show was in the building that is now Pasta Max. many were in attendance, including Collective Soul's Will Turpin, who says “I knew they had somethin’ special then!”Through the rest of the 90’s, Hourglass was recording, both their own original material penned by Brian Cameron, and as a studio group for other artists. They rehearsed on College Street in Mcdonough, often giving free concerts both on College Street and at the park in town.School dances in Henry County, private shows, and even performing in local McDonough bars and clubs, most notably a summer residency at Blue Sky Tavern, where the idea for the Southern Roots jam night was born. But in 1999 they recorded and released their first full length album. It featured songs like “Till Mornin’,” “I Will,” and “Shine On Me.” Songs that had filled the air of their hometown now filled the speakers of trucks drivin’ up and down 42, 155, 81, and 20.It’s been 20 years and it’s time for a celebration of the band and the music of this town and this county’s days before cell phones. Our Story
NEVERMIND is a tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time... NIRVANA! Nestled in the suburbs of Atlanta three guys from the local scene decided that their town needed more Grunge! Specifically... Nirvana.

Coming from other bands and tributes they knew how to make this work. You need a serious love for the music, a strong work ethic to get it right and most of all you had to be as close to the real thing as possible!

We are dedicated 100% to bringing you the full Nirvana experience! You want hits? We have them! You want deep cuts? We have those too! You want the gear and sound of the actual band? We've done the research and tracked down the equipment!

SLIPPERY WHEN WET

Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute

Join us on Saturday February 15th as Southern Roots presents the

Slippery When Wet – The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute was formed in 2003 by Jason Morey after answering many inquiries of “Are you Jon Bon Jovi?”. Most notably comedian Dave Chappelle invited Jason backstage following one of his comedy shows thinking that he was the New Jersey icon. It was then that Jason knew he had to take advantage of the resemblance.

It’s a good thing that Jason grew up on classic albums such as “Slippery When Wet” and “New Jersey”. Not to mention that he was also playing a few Bon Jovi songs in his widely successful tribute to the halcyon days of metal “The White Leppard Crue”.

Slippery When Wet – The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute has taken exact live arrangements from Bon Jovi’s 2000’s Crush tour , 2002’s Bounce tour , 2005’s Have a Nice Day tour, 2008’s Lost Highway tour and 2010’s The Circle tour to form what Jason refers to as an “Arena- Club Show”. With further explanation Jason thinks that “Slippery When Wet has the power to turn a 600-1500 capacity club into a 20,000 seat arena for 2 1/2 hours”.

Bon Jovi’s career spans 30+ years and over 130 million albums sold worldwide. Another milestone that the band has achieved is that they have tracked 14 Billboard top ten singles of which 8 of those went straight to number 1. In 2018 Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Slippery When Wet believes that Bon Jovi has the right kind of song catalog that really lends itself to being performed live as well as fitting into a broad age range that makes for the perfect club demographic.

Slippery When Wet has played over 1500 shows throughout the U.S. alone and has traveled to Africa, Mexico, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. They have headlined on over 60 cruises on the Royal Caribbean cruise line and played the pre game of Super Bowl 48 in East Rutherford NJ.The bands shows are the most attended and highest grossing of any Bon Jovi Tribute in the country.

Slippery When Wet is the most searched Bon Jovi tribute band on Google as well it has the most views of any Bon Jovi tribute band on Youtube. In 2007 the band was officially authorized by Bon Jovi to perform their highly entertaining show.

In 2018 Jason Morey was chosen to perform as their only impersonator to Jon Bon Jovi in the Legends in Concert show in Las Vegas.

Their drive , musical ability , showmanship and dedication to duplicating the Bon Jovi live experience simply cannot be outdone.

Pandora's Box: The Ultimate Aerosmith Tribute

Join us on Friday February 21st as Southern Roots presents

Pandora's Box: The Ultimate Aerosmith Tribute

What really stands out about this amazing tribute to Aerosmith, is that it sounds so authentic and has such a powerful energy onstage. It’s no wonder though, when you dig a little deeper into this brotherhood of musicians. All of these guys, (while spending time in other bands) have known each and played together for many years. Most notably, guitarist and backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn has played with doubleDrive, Dark New Day, Seether (where he was a co-writer of their hit, “Country Song”) and is a current member of the internationally known band Evanescence. But when he’s not recording or on tour with Evanescence, he chooses to play guitar in Pandora’s Box! Guitarist Steve Taylor and lead vocalist Nathan Utz started working together back in 1990 with Sony Records artist, The Blonz, and toured with bands such as Dokken, Poison and Mother’s Finest, just to name a few. The Blonz released the single “Last Call for Alcohol” that made it onto the Billboard charts! Nathan and Steve have been working together ever since and their long career together makes for the same intense and entertaining chemistry onstage that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry share! That chemistry along with Nathan’s uncanny resemblance to Steven Tyler’s voice and appearance, will transport you to the front of the stage at an Aerosmith show!!! The band is rounded out by drummer Michael Foreman and Bassist Trent Horne who hooked up with the band through mutual acquaintances and friendships with Steve, Nathan and Troy. Having worked in and around the Atlanta music scene for many years and on stages all over the country, Michael and Trent bring the positive energy, talent and experience to complete this Aerosmith experience! A strong professionally minded group by day and a stage overflowing with musicianship, showmanship and friendship by night, Pandora’s Box is on a mission to rise to the very pinnacle of the tribute band world in record time!!!!!
